Jon B. Orndorff


Jon has decades of experience litigating matters involving toxic torts, product liability, premises liability, pharmaceuticals, class actions, insurance defense (including third party disputes and coverage issues), trucking and automotive, banking and credit union, and appellate issues.

He is licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and throughout West Virginia and Kentucky. He has trial experience in West Virginia, California, Oregon, and New York. He has defended numerous corporate defendants in trial courts across the country and before the mass litigation panel in West Virginia.

He serves as national coordinating counsel for multiple corporate defendants involved in asbestos litigation nationwide, with an unparalleled success record that spans decades of dramatically lowering clients’ case numbers, costs and risk.

Jon also is a professional member of the International Association of Defense Counsel; Defense Research Institute; and the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia. He is rated an AV® Preeminent™ Lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell, representing the recognition of the highest level of professional excellence by his peers.

A graduate of Washington and Lee University, Jon received a bachelor’s degree in Economics before earning his juris doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law.
