Kelly Calder Mowen

Kelly is admitted to practice in West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. She oversees complex litigation, defending hundreds of claims in asbestos and pharmaceutical cases pending in state and federal court, as well as appellate work for clients. She has years of experience in the areas of product and premises liability, mass torts, toxic torts, bad faith, and other insurance coverage disputes.
Kelly is a graduate of the National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law. She has a Mass Tort MDL Certificate from the Bolch Judicial Institute of Duke Law School. Kelly is a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL), Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia (DTCWV), and the Defense Research Institute (DRI) where she currently serves as a chair of Women in the Law (WITL) with the Young Lawyers Committee, and as a Young Lawyer Liaison to DRI’s Toxic Torts and Environmental Law Committee. Kelly has presented on multi-district litigation practice at DRI’s Product Liability Seminar and authored and co-authored publications for DRI and the IADC, among others.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Kelly received a bachelor’s degree in history and her juris doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
